When I was writing the article, most of my energies have been spent for my future. I would like to go home, run a small business at home and grow older with my people and families. Today, I am in Bali to enjoy my time while working in villa management as webmaster and internet marketing division.
Before I continue the future plan, I would like to share that I hate to be an employee. I prefer as employer. But today I am working as employee. Why? I just get some experiences, learning how to manage an organization, how to market products, how to manage people and how system works on business. Those reasons push me to do that. Once I have good knowledge and experience, I will resign and thank to them, and start my business.
I have economic background, well known about any business opportunity, business research; I have some ideas, completed with each business analysis. I said to mom, next year, I will start small business, be success as my grandfather was.

I have a great ideas, that is to open a small computer rental and internet café in my home town, because its new style, internet is still a luxury services. After did necessary research, break even will be reached in 1.5 years.
Although I have been running online marketing since 2 years ago, I never do real business, so this is my first time trying and first time to proof that I have good ability in it. It is sound like actualization process to get back my grandfather golden era.

The big problem is money. Where I have to find bad credit? Bank is the answer but I have no experience as businessman, or I am a newbie and not an exciting businessman. How to get loan from them if they don’t know anything about me? I think, creating a best blue print is the best answer in order to get bank approval.
After crisis last year, banks become more secure to approve loan application. To reduce the risk, maybe they can’t help me full. My plan must work next year, even banks don’t accept my loan application, I have to fight to realize my business because I hate work as employee, even it is a small business

To get food through work is absolutely destiny. We work and then get money to buy food to eat. I am doing this stupid live, and others also do it too. To be a better live, our income from work should equal with monthly balance at least. Upper is the best for our saving in future live. Financial freedom is the key for people to stay save in world. I would like to share my idea and my live experience in financial freedom purpose. Since November last year 2007, I entered online marketing and I get nice monthly income. I can buy many junk donuts and I can stay save. My expenses are lower than income, so I think online marketing is great current job. All I do is continue and upgrade my skill in online marketing, to be professional marketer, and create little company, marketers’ organization. Because of different in zone time, I work at night and take same rest in day and if can I do maintain and do my job in day.

Last couple year, friend invited me to work with his boss. This is my first real professional career and working with boss. I had no boss before so I found a little bit trouble in adaptation. Actually, friend invited me because of I have many leisure time in day, he said, if you agree, you can replace your leisure day, working with my boss so you get more money. I remembered it. I accepted it, I think this is great experience to working and associate with real friends, boss and make new relations. No problems so far with my communication and relation because I have good talent for that.

Problem rose!
I start work 8 in the morning to 17:00 in the evening, nine hours and the boss pays me lower than online marketing payment for a month. Spent full hours in office, no nap is very hard for me. I am tiring now because when I come back to home, too tired and no idea to start my online marketing job. I consider and decide that real working is part time job (but spent my whole day) and online marketing is my main job.
Anyway, with this condition, I have no idea; my income in online marketing went down in last two months. Poor! Maybe we are impacted by American crisis. I have to rearrange and think twice about my current decision. Where I should walk? Stop working in real job and continue my online marketing is always running in my mind.

I think this is not efficient decision. Labors spent more hours to work based on income purpose. For example, ideal work hours a day is 12 hours, main job cuts 8-9 hours, so we have extra 4 hours a day as leisure time. Rationally, labors will find part job to find more money with their extra 4 hours. But what I do is a mistake. I spent 9 hours as part time with lower monthly income. It is very contrast with my main job, working up to 6 hours in the night and I get higher income. Ideal condition is my part time job gives me higher income than my main job because of more hours I spent for part time job.
Solution!

I decide to stop in near, wait good situation and condition.

Efficiency and Low Average Cost

We had been arriving at 21 century, and now we are living in globalization and technology environment. If we look back at green revolution when agriculture and industry were starting to grow up, Technology was created to help human in their job. While human only has two hands, he couldn’t make more. This is the philosophy why technology was created. Technology has been playing many rules and important rules in all aspects. We need Technology. Sometimes, technology is described as a external factor, to help our hand, help our feed, help our mind to make more result in our job. When Adam and Eve worked as farmer, they need mattock, cow (to plow the farm) and irrigation. Mattock, cow and pipeline irrigation is technology. Cow is replaced by tractor; mattock is also replaced by tractor, ancient irrigation is replaced by modern pipeline irrigation and maybe lumber mill.
This is a stupid metropolis opinion, talking about Technology Vs Labor. Who get the benefits, Employee or employer?
To describe about technology and labor is very sensitive because labor without technology is meaningless and otherwise. The both still help each other. The point is how much percent technology is required and how we combine technology and labor percentage so we get lower Variable Cost (VC)

The graph above represents that company expects to produce more goods with lower VC, closer to zero.
At most companies, especially high technology companies, reducing the number of workers are best solution to help them run with lower VC. (We assume that special case companies still use high labor than technology like cigarette company, Textile Company, and handcraft company, so we ignore the companies to make our logic runs better).
Some experiences show us that while technology makes our life run better, many demonstrations from workers (employers) try strive for safety – permanent work when companies try to reduce workers and increase the technology. In this case, we see that workers love and need technology but they hate if technology replace them in company.
Macroeconomic also put in danger, when many companies try to replace workers with technologies. The direct impact is increase in unemployment. High unemployment makes government dizzy. The paradox is High Labor with high VC (Variable Cost) contra High Technology with lower VC.

While companies are private, government hasn’t direct authority to clear the problem (if high unemployment). Government just makes rules-labor protection right; for example, rules about fired, compensation and more). Government just plays their negotiations through persuasions. Labor force (Labor Union) has direct bargaining power, struggling, and strives through negotiations (peace action) and demonstration.
Only internal Companies Staffs can solve this problem. For example if he is nationalism or he has goodwill to help people escape from poverty. Keep in your mind that, Companies target is Profit, has no correlation with avoid unemployment. Government has this job.

Hey Government, Please Give me a job! Poor Tom

One year in Kindergarten, Six years in Elementary School, 3 Years in Junior High Scholl, 3 years in Senior High Scholl and 3 – 5 years in university. It means there 18 years of our life is school. If you enter kindergarten at five, you will pass your formal education at 23 years old then go to labor force.
My opinion in this section is talking about specialization.
Many people after pass his 18 years formal education, then goes to labor force, finally find a job but differ or hasn’t relate to his basic (specialization) in his formal education. A chemistry works in official public relation staff. He left his formal education and go to new world when he doesn’t know anything about public relation.

Many workers came from different basic or specialization. Why?
Every year, more than 500.000 new fresh graduates go to market force. We can say that demand on labor (come from employers) less than labor supply (come from employees). While Demand less than Supply, Labors are fight force to get job. So specialization is useless because.
Another opinion, related to Indonesians mental. Indonesian mental is find a permanent job for permanent income in their life. Become a official staff is best choice so far because there is a permanent income in next income and small probability to be fired.
So we mustn’t surprise when an economic scholar work at Religion Department, or a chemistry work in Labor Department.
Why specialization doesn’t work?

If we analysis more, another opinion will goes to government. While Indonesian Government is busy in international debt, local politic problems, Disasters, Hungers, Government has no time and no money to create labor fields to meet specialization.
Lastly, Indonesian people have no talent in entrepreneurship. Social Structure, Feudalism, and Cultures create Indonesian as a worker, not an entrepreneurship. So workers still hope to government, Give me a job.
While American say, don’t say what your country does on you but what you do to your country; otherwise Indonesian say, Hey Government, Give a job! Poor TOM.

I have post in earlier article, Time lag and Intervention talked about how long time lag is needed in order to make intervention (cut interest rate) work.

As we see, time lag maybe runs in short time or long run; while time lag work, what the impact or reaction when time lag is working. Reuters to day, send us the good report (actually bad report to American employee) because the impact from interest rate intervention by FED doesn’t work till now.

According to Reuters, The Labor Department on Friday said non-farm employment fell by 80,000 jobs in March, the biggest decline in five years. Financial markets saw the drop as reinforcing the need for further Federal Reserve interest rate cuts.

This is just the beginning; FED expectation on their interest rate cut doesn’t work well. Time lag make unemployment rise. The report is bad news but it’s real.

Economic Theory teach as that lower interest rate makes investment arise, more job available and more employees will be hired, but it doesn’t. The unemployment rate jumped to 5.1 percent from 4.8 percent, the highest since September 2005. Another word, There are 80.000 employees became unemployment now.

FED confess this problems, try to handle the phenomena and launch a new statement, perhaps that their intervention on interest rate will runs well in near soon. Expectation goes wrong. Increasing in total unemployment on March makes White House unhappy based on the Job Report from Labor Department.

By the way, Cutting interest rate, could make bad reaction or good reaction in time lag.
